Finn Corporation Hires VP of Operations
Fairfield, OH (March 5, 2012): Finn Corporation, a world leader in the manufacturing of landscape and erosion control equipment and products, announces the hiring of Matt Day as Vice President of Operations. Day leads the Finn engineering, production, purchasing, and service departments and is responsible for their everyday operations. His hiring is effective immediately.
“We’ve been looking for a while for someone to oversee these multiple departments,” says Finn President & CEO James Higgins, “but we were very specific and particular, looking for someone with a proven managerial track record and a strong technical background. It wasn’t easy and it took patience, but we finally found these qualities and much more in Matt. All of us at Finn look forward to his fresh perspective and leadership.”
Day has held both technical and managerial positions at Delta Airlines, Honeywell, and United Technologies. “As the market leader, Finn obviously has a great business base, and I appreciate the opportunity to help develop and advance the Finn products in the marketplace,” says Day. “In order to do this, my priority now is to learn all aspects of the design and manufacture of the Finn equipment. While this task alone is daunting, I find it equally exciting, and I hope my enthusiasm translates to the entire Finn team.”
