Dear US Composting Council Members and Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the launch of our new website: Buy-compost.com.

We created this site to:

  • offer a more user friendly interface for those compost consumers and prospects looking to purchase compost from USCC members
  • provide an easier way for search engines dealing with compost purchasing questions to find our website
  • serve as a portal for community gardens looking for compost donations as part of our 2013, 'One Million Tomato' campaign

You'll find that the site has been designed in the newest, most user friendly format. In effect, this allows viewers to remain on the home page and access other pages by either simply scrolling down or by clicking on a menu item. We've included more, 'eye popping' graphics and used less copy.

The new website is still very much a work in progress. We anticipate adding video clips of compost uses. More content and links will be added in the coming months, and some of the current copy will be edited down to create a more streamlined, 'cleaner' look. We expect to be linked to other, strategic alliance partners' websites, enhancing the value of your USCC membership and making your compost products easier to find!

PLEASE visit the new website and tell us what you think. What else would you like to see there? How can we make it more useful and effective in serving your compost marketing needs?

Please start making plans to join us next year, back again in Oakland, CA, for our 22nd Annual Conference and Trade Show at the Oakland Marriot - January 27-30, 2014.

Regards,

Michael Virga, Executive Director
