The Certified Professional in Storm Water Quality (CPSWQ) series offered Fridays, April 4-18 and continuing May 2-16, 2008, will be taught by Eric Bernsten, PH, CPESC, CPSWQ , a technical lead on the Construction General Permit for the California State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) in Sacramento, California. Bernsten will discuss:
- pollutants in stormwater runoff;
- six minimum measures of a Phase II Storm Water Management Plan, Water Quality Standards and the Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) process as they relate to Section 303(d) of the Clean Water Act.
- watershed hydrology;
- water quality monitoring principles;
- erosion and sediment control measures;
- and types of storm water management practices used for post-construction runoff control and water quality treatment.

The six part Certified Erosion, Sediment and Storm Water Inspector (CESSWI) series, will take place every Wednesday from April 9 – May 14, 2008. Taught by Jimmy Eanes, CPESC-IT, CESSWI, the series will address the following topics:
