Ensure that EC materials and installations do not interfere with wildlife use of the site, particularly small animals moving to and from feeding and nesting areas and water. Avoid clearing vegetation on steep ground. Although erosion at any site has the potential to wash soil into stormwater systems, wetlands, and streams, there can be greater erosion hazards for sloping sites.
